Project description

Structural repair and application of an epoxy coating system on the mezzanine and interior surfaces of the Dek St-Roch sports complex. The work aimed to restore the integrity of the slab and provide a durable finish suited for heavy commercial traffic.

The challenge

The slab had significant structural cracks requiring prior stabilization. The project also demanded complex technical customization, including logo integration and strict color matching (Dark Side and red), while ensuring maximum adhesion on a high-traffic commercial surface.

Our approach

We began with mechanical preparation using diamond grinding to open the concrete pores. Cracks were treated by injection and sealing using Sika products and a filling epoxy resin. We then applied a 100% solids epoxy base coat, followed by a custom flake system and a polyurethane topcoat for enhanced UV and scratch resistance.

The results

  • Marketing visibility: Successful logo integration with sponsor display capability directly in the floor.
  • Superior client experience: Professional and modern atmosphere enhancing the sports center's appeal for players.
  • Optimized maintenance: Waterproof surface making the floor 10x easier to clean than bare, porous concrete.
  • Property value increase: Durable protection against water infiltration and increased structural value of the building.
Mr. Martin. Sports center owner, Saint-Roch.
Betonik transformed our center with a flawless coating and perfectly integrated logos. The cracks were durably repaired and maintenance is now ten times easier. A professional job that truly showcases our Saint-Roch arena.
